In order to better serve our Raider Nation, we are implementing a cutoff time for students to be checked out. All in-person checkouts need to occur BEFORE 2:45 PM. After 2:45 PM, please wait to meet your student at the normal dismissal time.

Our recommendation: 

• Send an email (from the parent/guardian email on file) to rhs.receptionist@leanderisd.org by 10:30 AM  so that an Early Dismissal pass can be given to your student prior to his/her desired dismissal time. This means you will avoid having to wait in line for a pass to be sent to your student and that they can simply meet you in the front of the school at the desired time–you won’t even have to come in! 

In conclusion:

• Send an email (from the parent/guardian email on file) to rhs.receptionist@leanderisd.org by 10:30 AM so that an Early Dismissal pass can be given to your student prior to his/her desired dismissal time.

• Early dismissal notes/emails that are received by 10:30 AM with a dismissal time later than 2:45 PM will still be accepted. The 2:45 PM cutoff time is simply for in-person checkouts.

• Please be advised that any attempt to check out a student during his/her lunch or extracurricular activity period, especially athletics, could result in a longer wait or possibly an unsuccessful location of the student. Be mindful of your student's schedule before you arrive.

• On early release days (12/18/26 & 5/27/27) the cutoff pickup time will be 11:45 AM.
